College and Community Relations
The department of College and Community Relations (CCR) serves as a professional resource for strategic communications and creative services. The department manages and promotes the college brand and vision through strategic communication efforts, compelling storytelling, and creative, integrative marketing solutions. Additionally, the team cultivates effective and sustainable relationships with the community, government and civic organizations, and key stakeholders. CCR is also responsible for communications efforts during an emergency or crises situation.
CCR supports the college community in the following areas:
Strategic Communications
The College and Community Relations team develops and provides a comprehensive approach
to managing and disseminating information that aligns with the college’s mission,
values and goals. This involves crafting and delivering clear, consistent messages
across various platforms—such as the college website, social media and paid media—to
engage students, faculty/staff, alumni, and the broader community. By leveraging data-driven
insights and audience analysis, strategic communications aims to enhance the college’s
reputation, support recruitment and retention efforts, and foster a positive and cohesive
campus culture. Please contact Michael Navarre, Director of College and Community Relations for communication support.
Graphic Design
The graphic designer works with you, across numerous formats and mediums, to effectively
communicate your message. We can assist with banner, brochure and flyer designs, as
well as social media graphics, digital designs and business cards. To request design
services, please email Cuyamaca.Graphics@gcccd.edu with at least 14-day's notice.
Visual Identity and Branding Guide
The College and Community Relations department is responsible for growing and protecting
the Cuyamaca College brand. We maintain the Cuyamaca College Branding Guide which outlines proper brand implementation.
Communications and Outreach
College and Community Relations shares information with various communities internal and external to the college. This includes overseeing content for the college’s website and social media channels, and Cuyamaca Connection, a bi-weekly publication designed to keep the campus community informed. Once per month, important success stories and updates are also shared with the Board of Trustees.
Faculty and staff are encouraged to submit content for social media, Cuyamaca Connection and the monthly board report via the links provided on this page.
Photography and Videography
