Veteran Resource Center

The Veteran resource Center (VRC) is located in I-121.  The VRC is a communal space to help ease the transition of  student veterans into the academic setting. The VRC is staffed by Veteran student workers, an English tutor, and the Program Assistant to ensure that all student veterans receive the adequate help, support, and resources to succeed academically.  VRC services include:

  • Computer Lab (free printing)
  • Scientific Calculators
  • Book Loan Program
  • English Tutor
  • Referral to on and off campus resources
  • Workshops
  • Plenty of study/relaxing space
  • Kitchennette area

Student Resources

Book Loan Program

The VRC is home to the Book Loan Program which allows student veterans to borrow books (at no cost) and return them at the end of the semester.  For a complete list of books, visit the VRC or call 619-660-4060.

If you or anyone you know would like to donate books to the program, please feel free to drop them off at the VRC.

English Tutor

The English tutor is available Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00am to 5:00pm.  To make an appointment call 619-660-4060, email or drop by I-121.  Walk-ins are welcomed, but priority will be given to those who RSVP. 

Student Brag sheet

Are you scholarship or job hunting? Use the Student Brag Sheet to develop an accurate and detailed resume, or as a tool to increase your chances of getting a great letter of recommendation.  Fill out the Student Bragsheet and update after every academic/personal achievement. 
For resume purposes: Fill out completely.  Use the information you have listed to build your resume.
For letter of recommendation purposes: Fill out completely. Submit a copy of the completed brag sheet to each person you have asked to write a letter of recommendation for you. Make sure to give at least two weeks notice before the due date.
