Scholarships


Scholarships is a resource that can assist with your financial need as you pursue your college education. Cuyamaca College partners with the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Colleges Foundation to offer scholarships to help our students succeed by making higher education more affordable through the generosity of our scholarships donors. We offer a variety of scholarships and the eligibility requirements are not just financial need or academic performance. We encourage all students to apply for scholarships!


New Applicants Sign-Up Here

You will need to sign up with Academic Works to start on your scholarship application. Use the email address you used with the college. Enter and confirm a password and then click the Sign Up button.

Returning Applicants Login Here

Log back into Academic Works to view, edit, or submit your application.

Spring 2019-2020 Application is now open.

The Scholarship Office is located in the Financial Aid Office (Building A-300) at the Student Services Center. To make an appointment, please email or call Ernie Williams. Please provide your student ID number and the date and time you would like for your appointment to be. Walk-in appointments are welcome.

New Applicants, please provide your initial information to Cuyamaca & Grossmont ❝AcademicWorksScholarship Portal: Use the email address you use for college and  create your own password. AcademicWorks will request your General Student Information to create scholarship access for YOU!

Osher Scholarships Information


General Osher Eligibility Requirements: Student must have a current Board of Governors Fee Waiver (BOG) Student must have completed 24 or more ❝degree applicable❞ units Student's progress must be a least satisfactory (2.0 GPA) Student must be enrolled at least half-time (6 or more units) at Cuyamaca College (* Count units taken at each campus use Consortium Agreement)

California Coast Credit Union Scholarships

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Student must be currently enrolled in at least 9 units at Cuyamaca College
  • Student must have completed a minimum of 12 units at Cuyamaca-Grossmont Colleges
  • Student must have a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average
  • Must hold a current leadership role in an on-campus or community service organization or have completed a minimum of 25 documented hours of community service in the last 6 months prior to applying.
  • A 500 word essay - Topic: Tell us about an experience where you used your time and talents to help an individual, a group or the community.
  • Two letters of recommendation from faculty or staff at Grossmont-Cuyamaca College or applicant's service organization.

Betty D. Krueger Memorial Scholarships

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Student must be currently enrolled in at least 12 units at Cuyamaca College
  • Student must have a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average
  • Must complete an essay or video about the value of attending Cuyamaca College.
  • Essay must be 400-500 word essay
  • Video must be between 2-3 minutes in length

Retiree Network Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Student must be currently enrolled in at least 9 units at Cuyamaca College
  • Student must have completed 24 units at Grossmont and/or Cuyamaca Colleges
  • Student must have a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average
  • Student must complete the 500 word essay
  • Plans to transfer to a 4 year university or complete AA/AS or certificate.
