| Cuyamaca’s own athletic trainer, Jamie Adams, was awarded the California Athletic
Trainers’ Association’s State Appreciation Award at the 12th Annual CATA Clinical
Symposium in Sacramento. Jamie was recognized for her eight years of volunteer service on the CATA Managing Board as the Public Relations Committee Chair. During this time, Jamie has increased engagement on CATA’s social media channels, as well as acquired a solid base of legislators following the social media accounts. Beyond social media, Jamie increased awareness for CATA with a bus ad campaign that she managed in 2020, where CATA advertising was plastered on buses across the city of Sacramento. “I think what this means for Cuyamaca is making sure that we are at the forefront of Athletic Training in the state. That we are getting the word out that we exist out here in the bottom corner of the state,” said Jamie on her award. |
