Student Complaint Process
In compliance with the requirements of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended, as regulated in CFR 34, Sections 600.9 (b) (3) and 668.43(b), Grossmont College has established procedures for resolving complaints from not only prospective and current students but also from community members.
As a standard practice, the first step should be to seek a resolution at the local level with the specific college department for which an individual may have concerns or difficulties. If the complainant does not feel that the issue has been solved at this level to his or her satisfaction, the complainant can pursue the matter through the established chain of command.
